Infest, and Front 242
Well, I have finally got around to posting my pics from Infest on my LJ. To be honest, I am not that happy with them overall, though there is the occasional one that I was really pleased with. Like this one of Front 242.
Lots more on my LJ.

Feti Ant (live in Springfield, VT)
My friend Cal -- AKA Feti Ant
-- recently did a "drugs awareness" show at a local high school in Springfield, VT. The crowd for the most part had no clue what was going on but it was fun anyways. I tagged along with my camera, of course.
If you like heavy industrial/electro with a tinge of powernoise stop by his MySpace and say hi. I have a feeling he's gonna make some fun music in the coming years.
Images are posted above the smart-ass comments meant to go with them. ;)( 40+ images.Collapse )

Haven's 12th Anniversary bash [Northampton, MA on 02/19/08].
DJs AddamBombb, Penelope and Azrael.
Haven holds a lot of fond memories for me. It was the first goth club that I ever went to, my initiation into the crazy nightlife that's become such a passion of mine, the place that inspired me to DJ and the center where I've met an amazing cast of friends over the scattered decade or so that I've been going there.
This year's birthday bash was a lot of fun. I spent most of it talking with friends, new and old, and wandering around with my camera. I was just looking through my online galleries and there are plenty of other anniversary bash pictures from years past. It's nice to see such continuity and to have such happy memories to turn to as the years roll on.
These are lo-res Web friendly images. If you'd like hi-res print quality 11X17 versions email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know which images you'd like. As always these photos are free for promotional use. If you appear in any of them please feel free to comment and say hi!
Thanks to Penelope, Addam, Kilean, Voltaire, all my friends and all the folks who came out for making this such a fun night!( 76 images under the cut.Collapse )

Hear nuance. See nuance. (Set #1.)
These are shots that I took at an ambient show at The Eagle in Northampton (MA) on August 31, 2007.
I have to admit, I know little to nothing about ambient music. As a DJ I tend to focus on THUMP! and OONTZ! so this was a whole new world for me. I found everyone to be incredibly friendly and enjoyed working with the groups to get shots so this was a nice introduction to the genre.
A few notes:
1) Shots from this event have been split into two posts. This is a link to the second set.
2) Because this was all new to me, I'm not familiar with all of the bands. If anyone could clue me in on the names that go with these sets I'd be much obliged. For bands that I'm not familiar with I titled each set as ?#etc. [EDIT: I fixed the headers for each band. Much thanks to E-David!]
3) Generally I took these shots using a really high ISO speed and little or no flash. Thus many of these came out grainy and oddly lit. I took these shots this way for a couple of reasons: foremost, this show relied heavily on mood and I didn't want to distract from the tone that the artists were setting. Also, the grainy noir feel sorta captures the way the night felt.
As always: these are lo-res images. If anyone wants hi-res images (print quality 11x17 at 180dpi) please email me at email@example.com and I'll send .zip files. My images are free to anyone who wants to download or use them. Feel free to pass links around to anyone who might be interested!( 146 images.Collapse )

Live at the Skybar (Cambridge, MA), 01JUN07
We celebrated Peter Lee's birthday, as would be expected, with some serious thump and noize. Despite some sound problems -- the sound guy apparently is used to running rock shows so the levels were a bit...off -- this was a great show. Nau-zee-auN was a blast of old skool goodness, Tonikom stole the show with an engaging charm that had everyone wrapped around Rachel's pinky finger, Lenny rocked the house and Ben...well, it's Terrorfakt. With Gabe, no less. Nothing more needs to be said.
As always: these are optimized for the Web (6X9, 72DPI). If you want hi-res copies (11X17, 180DPI) shoot me an email at email@example.com and I'll send you a .zip file. Click the image for a larger version. These are free to download for anyone who wants them. Yadda yadda yadda.
Enjoy!( 80+ shots beneath the cut.)Collapse )
